Where did March go???

March has flown by! It is 3:30 in the morning and I have been up for a few hours now. I'm the only one awake in our house. It's a peaceful time. I have been very productive. It seems like every post I say, "we've been so busy!" I guess that's just how our house stays! To tell you the truth, I kinda like it that way. But I also enjoy those rare occassions when everyhing is all caught up and it's just relaxing time!

We have started painting the outside of our house. Jackie tried to tell me what a huge job it is, but I really thought we could do it in one weekend. Last weekend Mom and Dad came over and we got started. We got most of the trim done on the front of the house. We all worked so hard! It still needs a second coat, but I have to say I know I will love it! Jackie is a great painter. He did just as much by himself as Dad and I did together! Mom worked on the details around the front window. I can't believe I actually forgot to take a before picture. I will have to take a picuter of what it looks like right now and use that as my before picture.

We spend so much time outside these days. It's amazing to have a yard where Taylor can run and play. It's incredible how much faster she has gotten at running since we moved into the new house. She runs all over and throws balls and jumps and swings and gets so dirty, but she has so much fun!! In the back corner by the fence there is a little concrete slab. She loves to color on it with chalk. Her she is when she realized I was taking her picture! She was surprised. She didn't realize I was there! See her great artwork!

Here she is hard at it. She loves to draw circles and triangles (even though they are really just straight lines. She does count the sides as she draws, one, two, tree!)

This car was a gift for Taylor. She really likes to play on it. It has a track with two humps so she can really go fast on it. We put it up against the concrete, so she can really fly once she goes over the last bump. She did have a boo-boo and now she is super careful. At the end of the conrete there is a rose bush. She and Jackie were playing and she got going really fast and ran into the bush and got a little scratch on her face, so now she likes to push it and have her toys ride it.

Taylor loves to drive. She loves when she gets to sit in the front seat and turn the knobs and change the radio station and make the wipers go. She turns the wheel and goes, "vroom, vroom, vroom!" I love this picture, it shows how much fun she was having!

Here she is beeping the horn and getting some practice in! I think we are in trouble!!

Jackie has gotten Taylor hooked on licking the spoon and the beaters after I cook something. Their favorite thing to lick is the beaters after I make mashed potatoes. Thank goodness there are two beaters so they don't have to share! This day I made brownies and Taylor was the only one home, so she got the wisk all to herself! I think every parent has one of these pictures!

All week we heard about the snow coming. Every morning Taylor would go to the window and look for the snow. On Friday, she funally saw it. We had a March blizzard. It was the fifth largest March snow we have ever had. She actually got to play in it a little bit. Today most all of the snow has already melted. We even threw a few snowballs. It was so pretty! I'm so glad we were safe. On Friday work closed early and Saturday we were really slow. I'm so glad the times we did have to get out in it everything was ok and we made it where ever we were going safely.
On Thursday we had to go to United to get an onion becasue Jackie asked me to make potato soup. We had to wait for a cart the store was so busy. Once we got our onion, and the other items I decided at the last minute we needed, we had to wait 20 minutes to check out. It was so crazy! Everyone was gearing up for a huge storm I guess! While it was snowing outside, we all hung out and watched movies and Jackie put Taylor's desk and little stool together. Now she has an area to make things just like Mommy! She has colored so many pictures there isn't enough refrigerator room to display them all!

Here's Taylor in her super warm jacket! She loves the fur on the hood. It keeps her nice and toasty so she could play outside a litttle bit.

Jackie and Taylor enjoying the snow. It was blowing so hard and Mommy was cold, so we went inside after this picture. It was a great snow day and was very much needed. Mommy even got to take a nap!!

Taylor loves to watch tv and movies. So much so that we have to be really careful and monitor how much she watches every day. Her new favorite these days is SLEEPING BEAUTY. She says "watch seeping booty?" She talks the whole movie, here are some of what she says, "leffecent comin (Malecefent coming), no touch pindle (dont' touch the spindle), prince comin, wake up, kiss, dance, oh no, watch out!" It's a hoot to watch how much she interacts with the show!
She had started saying the funniest phrase and it cracks me up when she does it. She says what did you do that for, but it comes out, "What DO dat for?" It's got a thick accent and we just laugh and laugh when she says it.

I have developed the hobby of scrapbooking over the past year and a half. I have to say I'm addicted to it! I love all the paper and stickers and creating beautiful memories. Taylor has two huge scrapbooks and I made two for each of my grandmothers, one for a lady at work who retired, and a baby book for my boss all last year. It really help me destress and sit down and really remember things that we do that can so easily be forgotten. I have so much stuff. At the apartment I had one little corner to use. Jackie knows how much I love to scrapbook so at the new house he told me he would make me more space to spread out. My husband can build anything in the whole world, I am convinced of it! He built me this scrapbook area. I actually made a few pages this week and the invitations to our house/wedding celebration that's coming up! Thank you for making this awesome area for me! I love it and can't wait to get started using it more!!

He put peg board on the wall so I could organize all my stickers and have them readily accessible. He's so amazing!

I realized how much stuff I really have! I love making books, thanks Cindy for getting me hooked!!

I am so JEALOUS of your area. One day soon I will have it. I am so excited that you love to scrapbook. We have so much fun together doing it. You caught up on your blog. YEAH! I did to. I still have a little bit to do though. I am trying to keep it up more in hopes that my dad and mom will use it when they are out of the country. I miss our little Taylor. Can't wait to see her soon. As well as ya'll too. Hope you and Jackie have a great week. Love ya'll.

Love the pics! I finally tracked down your blog. It sounds like you're doing well. Taylor is getting so big! And, man, doesn't it feel like we're old?! Anyway, I'm glad I tracked you down. You're the same lovable Heather from LCU. I'm glad things haven't changed that much.
